Julian Austin Takes Us On A Track-By-Track Analysis

Back In Your Life: My producer came with the chorus and the music already done. So I sat down and wrote the verses and it came together. It's about someone leaving to better themselves and realizing they were better off where they were in the first place.

Take The Money And Run: My buddy has a bar and I heard the tune on the jukebox and knew right away that this was a song I wanted to do. My music has a bit of a rockin' edge to it but I never want to push it - I wanted to do this song with as much impact as I could yet without not losing the country personality.

Real Love: It's a song about falling in love. When you find it you know it's the real deal.

Forever Loving You: A song of commitment. It's the realization that you're going to spend the rest of your life with someone. It could become a wedding standard!

Should Be Over You: A true-to-life saga. The lyrics say it all.

Baby Bye Bye: Sounds like "Little Ol' Kisses" part two and just like that other tune it takes a serious subject and gives it a humorous twist.

Cause He Ain't Here: It's just about telling a girl that she should stop worrying about the past. He ain't worth it, so just go ahead and get on with your life. Broken hearts can, and eventually will, mend.

She's Through: Here's another real life story about a woman who's fed up with the bar scene. She's tired of being stood up, lied to, and cheated on and finally says: I'm not going to bother with this anymore. I'll just get back to reality and wait for real love to find me.

Good At Bein' Bad: Need I say any more! It expresses a little about what I've done and where I've been and I make no bones about it. Although I'm a better man today there's still a wild boy inside.

Better Think Twice: My version of "The Thunder Rolls". This guy is messing around on his woman and she's not the forgiving type.

Doesn't Take A Fool: This is my traditional side coming through. The guy knows that his woman has found someone else and all he wants her to do is come clean.

Lyin' To Myself: Another past relationship song reflecting on how I was feeling about that person. I'm just telling it like it is. We've all done it.

My Reason For Living: This is another song inspired by where I am in my life today with my wife. A true, from-the-heart, how-I-feel-about-someone song.

Holdin' On For Eight: I'm a huge fan of the athletes of the rodeo and my favourite is bull- riding. This is a song that pays tribute to the sport and those who participate in it.
