Congratulations to Julian Austin, who earned six Canadian Country
Music Association nominations today! Calgary-based Julian Austin,
received six nods when the CCMA announced those eligible to win at
the Sept. 11 awards at Edmonton's Skyreach Centre. ÊThe show will
be co-hosted by Alberta natives Paul Brandt and Terri Clark. ÊAustin
is nominated for album, single, song (Back in Your Life) and video
(Take the Money & Run). He's also up for male vocalist and the Chevy
fans' choice award. Ê"Entertainer of the year means the most because
we're on the road and play a lot," Austin told the Sun not long after
he heard the good news. Ê"It's nice to be acknowledged, but I don't
get excited about awards. What does it for me is the attendance at
the shows." ÊSo how does he feel about sharing top billing with Twain?
"It'll do for now," dead-pans an obviously excited Austin.

Super Series! Julian Austin has teamed up with Gibbons Motorsports
and CASCAR, as well as associate sponsors Shell Lubricants and Part
Source and will be featured on CASCAR race car #21 for two Super Series
stock car races in Edmonton July 21, 22, 23 and Calgary July 28, 29,
30. Meet Julian, alongside his CASCAR, with driver Damon Sharpe, for
an autograph signing this Sunday July 23 at the Edmonton CASCAR Super
Series event during the 'all driver' autograph session!

Julian's brand new single 'Take The Money and Run' entered the
Canadian charts at #52 and was the song with the most increased plays
at radio this week. The video for this song was shot this past Wednesday
night in a Toronto warehouse complete with 7 real life bikers (from
the Paradise Riders), a scantily clad leading lady "Bobby-Sue",
a cute but bad new brother "Billy-Joe", and a hilarious
sherriff "Billy-Mack". Julian can be seen sporting mechanics
overalls and a bandana in some scenes and then a floor length black
leather coat and his trademark black cowboy hat in others! You can
see it on CMT as of February 28. Start checking the tour date sections
as Julian has a lot of dates coming up. Some of them can only be accessed
by winning tickets through your local radio station, so stay tuned
and request 'Take The Money and Run'!

Julian @ The Childrens hospital of Eastern Ontario as part of Y105
Ottawa's Fan Jam 99 weekend Dec 4...
The teddy Bears were raised as part of a station giveaway
for tickets. 500 were donated to the hospital along with $2500 on
behalf of Lexus Dealers of Ottawa, Y105, Julian and Michelle Wright.
The show was attended by 6000 people and Julian got a standing O at
the end of his set !

Congratulations are in order for our very own Julian Austin, who tied
the knot over the weekend in Winnipeg. His longtime girlfriend Angela
has coveted the title of Mrs. Julian Austin.
January 18,1999
On Saturday, Jan 9 while taking part in a rodeo bull riding class,
ViK. Recordings artist Julian Austin was bucked off, landing on his
back underneath the bull. The bull (now known as "The Austinator")
landed on Julian's chest with his front legs, breaking 4 ribs, fracturing
3 others - one of the ribs punctured his lung. "The Austinator's"
back legs connected with Julian's right leg mid-air and came down
on top of it with his hoof, injuring the side of his calf quite badly
but miraculously, no broken bone. Always the joker, Julian says the
bull also kicked him fairly high on the thigh (if you know what I
mean), thus creating a higher vocal range! He is home now taking it
easy. At this point, Julian Austin fully intends on singing at the
ECMA's in February.

at the Radio Awards Luncheon, signing autographs at the Blockbuster
stage, participationg in the Songwriter's Session and showcasing at
the CISS-FM sponsered event at Ted's Wrecking Yard."Two Out of
Three Ain't Bad" is at #37 on the charts.
